 What we are looking for:

We need an experienced Intelligence Manager who is interested in growing and leading an open-source intelligence (OSINT) practice within a rapidly growing start-up.

 Where you’ll fit in:

Reporting directly into our Chief Data Officer, you will be responsible for leading and growing our team of intelligence analysts who specialise in acquiring and analysing open-source intelligence (OSINT) from a wide range of data sources.

We are a small team with big ambitions. You’ll lead our intelligence analysis team – the engine room of our business. You’ll also work closely with our engineering team to help shape the development of our company intelligence platform, and with our senior leadership team to continuously improve our intelligence proposition and platform.

 The role will include activities in:

  • Work on highly sensitive M&A transactions and consulting sales intelligence products
  • Lead efforts in acquiring intelligence from a wide range of data sources to benchmark the people, activities, technologies, investments and capabilities of companies
  • Leverage a range of tools and techniques to accelerate and automate data acquisition (including APIs, web scrapers, web crawlers, Python, RPA)
  • Review and quality assurance of client intelligence deliverables
  • Oversight of a team of intelligence analysts including line management responsibility
  • Growing, through recruitment and training, our intelligence analyst capability
  • Improving the speed and efficiency of data acquisition through automation initiatives
  • Managing relationships with data providers
  • Engaging with client teams on active intelligence briefs
  • Marketing and blog/vlog content development

With the flexibility to be involved with:

  • Intelligence product management / ownership

 About you:

  • Experienced intelligence manager with 5+ years including open-source intelligence (OSINT)
  • Experience with one or more data acquisition tools / techniques (including APIs, web scrapers, web crawlers, Python, RPA)
  • Driven and proactive team player that learns fast
  • Proven ability to grow, motivate and lead a team
  • Graduate and post graduate level students from any field of study (although ideally from a STEM or Business background)
  • Passionate about research, data, analysis, technology and all things digital
  • Past experience working in an intelligence setting would be a bonus (e.g. security, defence, crime, regulatory, cyber, due diligence, competitor intelligence)
  • Past experience working on M&A transactions is also desirable

 What you’ll get:

  • Salary:  £40,000 to £55,000 (dependent on experience)
  • Full Time Permanent.  Temporary contract option also considered
  • Primarily office-based, near Waterloo, with flexible working to meet your needs
